Junior Dos Santos Is Willing To Fight Anyone Next
Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos returned in a big way in his last fight when he beat Ben Rothwell at UFC Fight Night 86. However, injuries caught up to “JDS” as he underwent shoulder surgery in April. Since then, Dos Santos has been on the sidelines but now is looking to return to the Octagon once again and wants some big fights.
Dos Santos recently spoke with MMA Junkie about his next fight and who he wants to fight. Dos Santos called out a few fighters but more importantly, he wants a title shot.
“I don’t pick opponents, so any one of them,” Dos Santos said. “We have good fights now, a lot of things happening in the heavyweight division. Anyone. Even Cain Velasquez for the fourth time. Come on. Let’s do it.
“I don’t want to fight (Werdum). I want to fight for the title. That’s why I was asking to fight him. Because he had the title. Now, I don’t care about him. He’s nothing. So that’s what I’m saying. It’s all about the title. I have my goals, and I will do my best to achieve them. That’s it. I don’t care if it’s going to be Werdum, or ‘Rapa’ (Travis Browne), or Velasquez, or (champ Stipe) Miocic, Overeem. Any of them. I’m ready.
Dos Santos (18-4) is currently on a one fight winning streak and is 3-3 in his last six bouts. Whoever he fights next, it should be a hard hitting/entertaining fight.
