UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo is not necessarily renowned for his levels of trash talk before fights. It was only in the lead up to the second Chad Mendes scrap that we saw a more angry and outspoken version of the Brazilian striker in the media, and now with a booking against Conor McGregor, ‘Scarface’ has really been forced to step it up a notch. ‘The Notorious’ is the undisputed king of pre-fight banter, but Aldo is doing pretty well in retaliation, all considered.

You may remember that the Irish sensation and current interim boss recently blasted Aldo as a ‘weasel’ following his drug test mishap before their original UFC 189 booking. McGregor later posed the question of whether they even have drug testing in Brazil. This seems to have awoken Aldo’s ‘troll’ side once again, as he took to Instagram last night to confront McGregor’s jives:

That’s a USADA (United States Anti Doping Agency) testing form and it’s clear what message Aldo is sending here. The rivalry between the Brazilian champ and his interim counterpart will certainly go down as one of the biggest in UFC history, and with snipes sent out over steroids on a regular basis, that’s no surprise whatsoever.

Aldo’s history with dope screens is 100%, as is McGregor’s, the only basis for the Irish star’s taunts are regarding the aforementioned fumble in the Nova Uniao gym. Aldo eventually passed the test, and he doesn’t look too worried in this recent pic either.

Whatever the case, it makes for great hype, and we are all still tuning in. The end of the rivalry, or perhaps only the beginning, will come on December 12th. Tick tock….
