Well, that did not take long.

Two-time K-1 Max champion Andy Souwer was brought in by UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo to help him with his striking for his upcoming fight with Conor McGregor at UFC 194 in a featherweight title unification bout.

Souwer explained in a recent interview with MMA Plus that he believes this will be the last time we see Aldo fight.

“To be honest, yeah I think. Yeah, I think so, I think he’s done with it. And ready. I will agree,” Souwer said. “Whatever he is thinking, it’s his decision. But I think it will be good for him.”

Aldo has since shot down what Souwer said in a recent interview with UFC.com. According to Aldo, he is not retiring following this fight as he wants to continue his career and believes that he has many opponents to fight.

“This won’t be my last fight,” Aldo told UFC.com, “I think I still have other opponents to face.”

Aldo (25-1) is currently on a 22-fight winning streak.

When asked about his fight with McGregor, Aldo believes that anywhere the fight goes, he’ll dominate. If the fight stays on the feet, then he’ll knock him out, but if the flight goes to the ground, he’ll submit the Irishman.

“If the fight stays standing, I will knock him out,” he said. “If he goes to the ground, I’ll submit him. This night will be perfect, and I will win.”

UFC 194 takes place on December 12th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This event will air on pay-per-view, FOX Sports 1, and UFC Fight Pass.
