Jon Jones Proclaims He’ll Fight Anyone At UFC 197

Unfortunate news broke yesterday (April 1, 2016) when it was announced that reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier had suffered an injury that would force him out of his scheduled rematch with archrival Jon Jones at April 23’s UFC 197.

After a bad blood infused lead up, the two first met at January 2015’s UFC 182, with Jones successfully defending his title in a clear cut unanimous decision win.

However, “Bones” then ran into some legal issues last April, forcing the UFC to strip him of his long held strap in which Cormier would win with a submission victory over Anthony “Rumble” Johnson at UFC 187.

Jones has since been reinstated, and was gearing up to fight for the belt he had never technically lost against his most bitter rival.

With that being said, one would think that the ex-champ would take this opportunity to jab at Cormier when he’s down, but Jones actually took to twitter to wish “DC” a speedy recovery:

As far as UFC 197 goes, the UFC has yet to comment on whether or not Jones will remain on the card, and who could possibly replace Cormier.

“Bones”, however, who has been criticized in the past for declining short notice fights, took to his Instagram to make it clear that he’s willing to accept any and all challenges:

I figured this would put a few smiles on some faces today @UFC
