Talk show host Joe Rogan sat down with Snoop Dogg to explain how a meeting with Mike Tyson changed his studio. Iron’ Mike was so intimating around fight time, that Joe Rogan decided to make adjustments to his podcast booth.
Joe Rogan and Mike Tyson
Joe Rogan and Mike Tyson have met several and have done podcasts with one another. Rogan explained that he always found Tyson to be an interesting and kind person. But when he had has exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, he interviewed him and Tyson was an entirely different person.
As Joe Rogan explained to Snoop Dogg:
“Snoop, let me tell you a story, the reason why this table is this wide, this is true, this is the true story. When I first moved to Austin, I had a smaller table that I was gonna set up, and I was like, maybe I’ll be a little more intimate with the, with the guests. And then I had Mike on one time, and the first time I had him on, Mike was not training at all, and he said he can’t work out at all because it ignites his ego, and he just smokes a lot of weed, and we had a great conversation, it was real fun.
“And then he came back on again to promote the, to promote the Roy Jones fight. And he was jacked his giant muscles in his forearms, and he looked like he was ready to go. You could see the element that made him Mike Tyson. His prime had been, reignited, whatever. It was, like, now I need a wider table. I got, I was nervous in the room with him. You could tell he’s ready to go.”
