Is Sage Northcutt Using Steroids? Cody Pfister Sure Thinks So
19-year-old phenom “Super” Sage Northcutt is gearing up for his second Octagon performance as he will be squaring off with lightweight Cody Pfister at this Thursday’s (December 10, 2015) UFC Fight Night 80 from Las Vegas, Nevada.
Northcutt has received a ton of attention and hype thus far, and it seems as if he has the looks, the personality, and possibly the skills to be a breakout star. His looks, however, have Pfister feeling a bit suspicious.
To say “Super” Sage is ripped would almost be an understatement, and “The Pfist” feels as if the Texas native may be “juicing”:
“From what I’ve heard [Northcutt’s] been drug tested like four times, I think that says something,” Pfister told Bloody Elbow. “He’s f***ing jacked, I’m sure he’s juicing, but who knows. I might be wrong on that and he’s just naturally gifted, but it doesn’t matter.”
As far as all of the hype goes, Pfister isn’t buying into it, claiming that he’s going to go out there and derail the train that Northcutt is currently riding:
“I’m gonna bring the heat, I’m gonna finish his ass, he’s never fought a guy like me. He lost as an amateur so definitely he can be beaten.”
Although he may not necessarily believe in the hype surrounding “Super” Sage, “The Pfist” doesn’t mind it, as it only seems to motivate him more:
“Hype him up as much as you want, that’s fine, it just gives me more motivation to go out there and beat him. I hate when people overlook me, people been trying to do that s*** my whole life.”
Just a few days away from fight night, Pfister appears to be quite confident, but do you agree with his accusations regarding Northcutt’s incredible physique?
