It looks like one of the MMA worlds dream match-ups is going to go down as Mark Hunt and Roy Nelson have verbally agreed to headline UFC Fight 51 in September.

The two heavyweight bombers have been matched up for a potential fight for some time now but nothing had ever come of it. Well, according to sources in the know, both men have agreed to meet later this year in Japan. The bout is expected to be officially announced by the UFC soon.

“Big Country” will be hoping to build on his first round destruction of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC Fight Night 39 in April. The TUF 10 victor knocked out the Brazilian to take the his seventh KO/TKO inside the Octagon. All of Nelson’s wins in the UFC have come by way of knockout.

His victory over “Big Nog” will have come as a relief for the 37-year old. Prior to that fight he had lost back-to-back decisions. Nelson was dominated by Stipe Miocic at UFC 161 in June, he was then shutout by former heavyweight Daniel Cormier later on in the year.

“The Super Samoan” will return to the Octagon after being out for nine months recovering from a broken toe. The former K-1 world champion was last seen in action at UFC Fight Night 33 where he battled it out with Antonio “BigFoot” Silva to a majority draw after one of the best fights of the year.

Prior to the 40-year old’s battle with Silva, Hunt was stopped by former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos at UFC 160. Overall, he is now 4-2-1 in the UFC.
