How Long can StrikeForce Last?

After Fedors’ 1st round Loss to Werdum what is truly left for Strikeforce?

It was a cold night for Fedor fans watching their champion fall in only 69 seconds of the first round. That 69 sec could of been the fall of an empire built almost overnight.
StrikeForce signs a deal with CBS and tried to go head to head with the UFC. They volley for Fedor and StrikeForce wins the Match. The Russian Born Fighter was thrown to the wolves and this is the begining of the downward demise of Strikeforce. Fedor is a different fighter he was not only trying to hold himself together and keep his “mystique”about him  but he was the very fabric of Strikeforce. Without facing defeat, Fedor was the only thing holding Strikeforce as a valid competitor in MMA promotions.

Next Fedor will be fighting Overeem , this will be Fedor’s last fight under contract with StrikeForce win or lose watch to see Fedor retire. With Fedor out of the picture
Strikeforce will need to be looking for new talent, with the loss of Jake Shields and rumors of Nick Diaz to the UFC they will need to pick up some big names. The pile is slim picking as the UFC holds the contracts to most of the top fighters in the game or anyone worth watching atleast. The remaining fighters on the Strikeforce roster are fighters who are ready to retire with maybe one or two fights left in them….cough cough Dan Henderson.

Does Overeem have the Star power to support  the large weight put on his shoulders? would he gain the reputation of being the best in the world?these questions remain to be answered but i am sure the future of StrikeForce is not looking good.
