Henry Cejudo Rips Dominick Cruz For His ‘Boring Ass Commentary’

Henry Cejudo

Henry Cejudo has put Dominick Cruz and his commentary on blast last night.

Cruz caused a bit of a stir earlier this week when he publicly criticized Daniel Cormier’s commentary skills ahead of his fight against Pedro Munhoz at UFC 269, which ‘DC’ will be commentating on.

“When it comes to DC, I usually mute it,” Cruz told media. “I love DC, he’s my friend, but to me, from my experience, he doesn’t do the homework. He wants to get in and out, get the job done, make his money. And I think he cares about us, but it’s just different. He doesn’t do the preparation from my experience. He might now. I’m hoping he watches some film this time on my fight so he knows what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. But I’m not gonna hold my breath on that, that’s for sure.”

Cormier later interviewed Cruz and the pair hashed things out in what was at times a pretty awkward conversation.

During the chat, ‘The Dominator’ mistakenly referred to Cormier as an Olympic gold medalist and this was pointed out by Zane Simon of Bloody Elbow and subsequently picked up by Cejudo.

“Shut your damn mouth Dominick Snooze,” Cejudo wrote on Twitter. “You must’ve not done your homework when I slept you. Did you forgot about my Olympic gold medal then? Even Keith Peterson can’t save you from your boring ass commentary There’s a reason you’re on the prelims!”

Henry Cejudo Is Remaining Relevant In Retirement

The former dual-weight UFC champion announced his retirement from MMA after dispatching of Cruz inside two rounds at UFC 249.

Since then, ‘Triple C’ has been talking up his return to the Octagon and has been angling for fights with all the champions from flyweight to featherweight.

MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz recently claimed that Cejudo will 100 percent return to the sport in 2022.

Perhaps after his latest Twitter activity, Cejudo would be interested in a rematch with Cruz, at least he wouldn’t be in the commentary booth then.

Do you agree with Henry Cejudo? Is Dominick Cruz a boring commentator?
