Henry Cejudo Earns Unanimous Decision Win Over Sergio Pettis

Henry Cejudo cruised to a unanimous decision victory over Sergio Pettis.

Cejudo and and Pettis went head-to-head on the third main card bout of UFC 218. The action was held inside Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

Pettis got the action underway with a leg kick. Cejudo shot in and scored a takedown. Pettis tried scrambling out, but Cejudo took the back and maintained control. He had to settle for full guard. It was a clear round for Cejudo.

A kick to the body was there for Pettis in the second round. Cejudo capitalized on Pettis losing balance and falling to the mat. Cejudo maintained control, but not a whole lot of action was happening. This was another easy round to score for Cejudo.

Pettis fired offed counters early in the final round. Cejudo grabbed a hold of the leg and dumped his opponent back down. The crowd was far more entertained by a fight in the stands.

Cejudo was awarded with the unanimous decision victory.
