The second and final lightweight contest of the UFC Fight Night 74 main card was between undefeated bruiser Chad Laprise (10-1) and Francisco Trinaldo (18-4).

If you were wonder why “undefeated” was crossed out, you can thank Trinaldo’s finishing instincts.

The fight began and Trinaldo blocked a high kick. Trinaldo looked for his own high kick moments later. Laprise was able to sneak in a leg kick. “The Disciple” landed a right hand as Trinaldo charged in. “Massaranduba” dropped “The Disciple” with a left hand. Laprise stood back up and Trinaldo landed a knee to the body. Laprise then dropped down to guard. Trinaldo took control of his opponent’s back and hammered away until referee Herb Dean stopped the fight.
