Flying KO! Almeida Starches Pickett At UFC 189

UFC 189 went down in Las Vegas, Nevada last night (Saturday July 11th, 2015) and it was everything we wished for and more. Conor McGregor and Chad Mendes headlined the card with their interim featherweight title affair, that saw the Irish sensation crowned the junior boss and paved the way for the inevitable encounter with Jose Aldo. Welterweight champ Robbie Lawler put the screws to Rory MacDonald in the final round of their bone breaking battle, after a thrilling FOTN winning five-rounder.

Lost in the adness of UFC 189 was Chute Box prospect Thomas Almeida’s awesome knockout of Brad Pickett. ‘One Punch’ was flattened by a monstrous flying knee in the second round of the bantamweight bang-fest, and Almeida provided a walk-off KO for the ages. He improves to a fantastic 20-0 with the win, future great?
