Edson Barboza vs. Evan Dunham set for UFC 146

At UFC 142 Edson Barboza ran his record to 10-0 when he stopped Terry Etim at 2:02 of the third round with what was the first spinning wheel kick knockout in UFC history. It was a spectacular finish, straightening Etim’s body as soon as the kick made impact, earning Barboza a handsome bonus for the night as he claimed both “Fight of the Night” and “Knockout of the Night” honors.

Barboza has a huge buzz surrounding him and will move up a level in competition for his next fight when he faces Evan Dunham at UFC 146, which is scheduled to take place on May 26 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

Dunham was once looked upon as one of the brightest prospects in the lightweight division, sporting a record of 11-0 when he met Sean Sherk at UFC 119. Sherk ended Dunham’s winning streak with a split decision victory on that card. Dunham then fell to Melvin Guillard by TKO in his next bout.

Dunham rebounded from the loss to Guillard, taking a unanimous decision victory over Shamar Bailey in September 2011 and then followed that up with a “Fight of the Night” TKO victory over Nik Lentz on the January 28, UFC on FOX 2 fight card.
