Drug Test Results From UFC 191 Revealed
UFC 191 is in the books, but the event did have some negatives coming out of it. Not only the reported low pay-per-view buy rate, but the event did not produce any stellar ratings for the prelims on FOX Sports 1 as well as the event drawing the lowest total gate for a Vegas-based UFC pay-per-view in 11 years (UFC 49).
However, with all bad things you can find one good thing.
No UFC fighter from this event tested positive. Test results are back, and each fighter passed, according to documents obtained from the Nevada Athletic Commission via a public-records request.
This includes Frank Mir whose request to use Adderall prior to the fight was denied by the NSAC. Mir passed all drug tests, including for recreational drugs (Adderall)
UFC 191 took place on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event aired on pay-per-view, FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Demetrious Johnson fought John Dodson in the main event for the flyweight championship while heavyweights Frank Mir and Andrei Arlovski battled in the co-main event. Also on the card was Anthony Johnson vs. Jimi Manuwa and UFC’s next big thing Paige VanZant.
