The ultimate company man, Donald Cerrone, who fights anyone, anywhere, got fined for breaching the terms of the UFC-Reebok deal. We hate you Reebok, sincerely, everyone…

It’s been a while since we posted anything Reebok related, and unfortunately it’s not good news this time either. UFC lightweight Donald Cerrone recently competed at UFC on FOX 17 in Orlando, facing Rafael dos Anjos for the second time, in an attempt to take the Brazilian’s 155-pound title. It wasn’t a good night for ‘Cowboy’ by any means, as he got knocked off his horse in the first round by TKO.

Just to top it off, we learn through Cerrone’s Twitter account that he was fined for a slight modification he made on his official Reebok gear that night in December 2015. Here he is confirming the news over social media:

In case you didn’t catch his nifty modification of the Reebok shorts, we’ve got the image right here.

As you can see it’s a rather small edit, and you’ll remember that current UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor once refused to wear Reebok gear during the weigh-ins for his interim title battle with Chad Mendes. It’s unknown at this point whether McGregor was fined for that action, and you’d have to assume the UFC is the one to enforce these rules on fight week.

The strip you see on Cerrone’s leg is a piece of his old Muay Thai shorts he used to wear, similar to how Frankie Edgar has the US flag stitched to his shorts, for instance, except ‘Cowboy’ obviously made this alteration himself.

After all the botched fighter gear, offensive logos and just plain crap work by Reebok, hearing about a company man like Cerrone getting penalized for something so minor is just crazy.

We are yet to hear how much ‘Cowboy’ was fined.
