Dominick Reyes Anticipates Cowboys Stadium Rematch With Jon Jones After He Beats Him

Dominick Reyes

Dominick Reyes is feeling very confident heading into his light heavyweight title fight with Jon Jones.

So confident, in fact, that he’s already thinking about granting Jones a rematch. Reyes and Jones will headline UFC 247 on pay-per-view (PPV) from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on February 8, 2019. The young prospect will attempt to do what no other man has done before, and legitimately best Jon Jones in mixed martial arts (MMA) competition.

Speaking to MMA Fighting, Reyes noted he’s already looking past a win over Jones, anticipating a rematch inside Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington.

“Absolutely. I look forward to the rematch,” Reyes said. “I’m already planning the rematch in Cowboy Stadium. That’s already in the works. I already know what’s going to happen. I’m going to beat him, it’s not going to be enough. Perfect, let’s do it in Cowboy Stadium except this time it’s my pay-per-view.”

The prospect of winning the light heavyweight title is big, but Reyes believes the potential of beating Jones is, arguably, a bigger deal than that of winning the gold.

“It’s Jon Jones. This is bigger than the title,” Reyes said. “Yes and no because the title’s big but not only winning the title but you’re beating arguably the best to ever do it. It’s huge. It’s f*cking huge.”

What do you think about Reyes saying he’ll give Jones a rematch in Cowboys stadium when he beats him? Who do you think will win at UFC 247?
