Dillon Danis claims ex-UFC star Nate Diaz turned down MMA fight with him: ‘Everyone is scared’
Polarizing mixed martial arts fighter and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu grappler, Dillon Danis has claimed a host of professional fighters — including former UFC star, Nate Diaz have rejected the chance to fight him in the cage in his return to combat sports — claiming “everyone is scared” of him.
Danis, who most recently competed in a professional boxing match against social media influencer and professional wrestler, Logan Paul, suffered a disqualification loss to the Ohio native in their heated grudge match in Manchester last October.
And currently embroiled in a lawsuit with Paul’s long-time partner, Nina Agdal, Danis, a decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt has been sidelined from mixed martial arts competition amid a series of knee injuries, most recently competing for Bellator MMA back in 2019.
Dillon Danis claims Nate Diaz, Anthony Pettis and others have refused to fight him in MMA
Landing a pair of submission victories in his sole mixed martial arts outings, Danis has boldly claimed a host of notable mixed martial arts fighters have rejected the chance to fight him in his return to action, including Stockton veteran, Diaz, as well as former UFC lightweight champion, Anthony Pettis.
“So far, Nate Diaz, Darren Till, Jorge Masvidal, Mike Perry, and Anthony Pettis have all declined MMA fights with me, opting instead for boxing matches or rule sets that put me at a disadvantage,” Dillon Danis posted on his official X account. “I’m sick of this; I just want to fight and am actively pursuing the best opponents outside the UFC to show the world what I’m capable of.”
Everyone is literally scared to fight me in MMA — any promoter or promotion can confirm it,” Dillon Danis continued.
