Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Lauzon Set For UFC 180

After Norman Parke injured his knee and had to pull out from their scheduled bout, Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez will now take on Joe “J-Lau” Lauzon at UFC 180 on November 15, 2014 in Mexico City, Mexico.

Sanchez was last seen in the octagon when he scored a highly controversial decision win over Ross Pearson in his home town of Albuquerque, New Mexico last June at UFC Fight 42. This was a bout that received a plethora of criticism as very few people actually believed Sanchez had won. Prior to this bout, “The Nightmare” had dropped consecutive losses to Myles Jury and Gilbert Melendez. He will look to extend his winning streak to two and put together another run at lightweight.

Lauzon will be going for his third win in a row in this scrap. “J-Lau” recently picked up wins over Michael Chiesa and Mac Danzig. He also recently became the UFC all-time leader in post-fight bonuses.

This is a very interesting fight, and some may be even more excited about it than the original scheduled bout. Both Sanchez and Lauzon are known for putting on shows inside of the octagon. They are two of the most relentless, non-stop, and high paced fighters to ever compete in the UFC. Pitting them against each other should result in fireworks in Mexico, City.

With this new addition UFC 180 currently looks like this:
