Diego Sanchez Has Two Cars Stolen From His Driveway
UFC Veteran and original The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) winner Diego Sanchez has hit some rough times recently inside of the Octagon. He’s lost two out of his last three bouts, and his most recent victory was a highly controversial decision that many thought he had clearly lost.
It looks as if these rough times have continued outside of the cage for Sanchez, who reported that two of his cars, an Audi S4 and a Lexus RX 350, were stolen out of his drive way this past weekend.
Sanchez and his gym, Jackson’s MMA, announced the news via Twitter:
If in Albuquerque Please help me find my cars that were stole last night from my drive way https://t.co/KJ0LH8nDy6

There is nothing worse than a thief! I’m hoping I get some luck and the cars turn up or better the thieves get caught.

With many fans calling his ‘win’ over Pearson one of the worst decisions of all time, Sanchez signed on to face Joe Lauzon at November’s UFC 180 pay-per-view (PPV) from Mexico City. Unfortunately the bout fell apart due to an injury to “The Nightmare,” so this unfortunate news only adds to the the aging veteran’s troubles.
The slugging star is riding consecutive losses to top contender Gilbert Melendez and rising star Myles Jury. Sanchez took on Melendez back at UFC 166 in October, 2013 and although it was a Fight of the Year candidate, Sanchez still suffered a loss.
The former TUF winner looked to bounce back from his loss to Melendez when he faced off with Jury at UFC 171 back in March, 2014. Sanchez was starched by the young prospect, losing a unanimous decision.
It’s unclear where Sanchez is headed next, but he might be nearing the end of the road of his storied career. With New Mexico police looking for Sanchez’ two cars, we can hope for a better 2015 for the Jackson-Winkeljohn product, both in and out of the Octagon.
