Dennis Siver Battles Tatsuya Kawajiri In Germany

Dennis Siver had a huge chance to solidify himself as a true contender in the featherweight division when he met now title challenger Conor McGregor in January, but like all of McGregor’s UFC foes, Siver fell short.

MMAFighting has reported that Siver will get a chance to bounce back in his home of Germany when he meets former PRIDE and DREAM star Tatsuya Kawajiri on June 20, 2015 in Berlin. The card is being headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between former title challengers Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira.

Prior to his bout with McGregor, the German Siver had strung together four wins in his last five fights and has boasted an overall record of 11-6 throughout his tenure with the UFC. Come June, he will look to remain relevant in the red hot 145-pound division.

Kawajiri is an extremely experienced fighter, having taken part in over 40 professional mixed martial arts bout. However, he is relatively new to the UFC, making his debut in January of 2014 when he scored a rear naked choke over Sean Soriano. “The Crusher” then suffered a unanimous decision loss to veteran Clay Guida last April at UFC Fight Night 39. Just like Siver, Kawajiri will look to bounce back come June.

UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs. Teixeira, which is set to go down from the O2 World Arena, is shaping up to be quite an interesting card. Stay tuned to LowKickMMA as this card begins to fill up.
