Two top five welterweights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) rankings went toe-to-toe in the main event of UFC on FOX 21 at the Rogers Center in Vancouver. Carlos Condit (30-10) came up short in his title match against Robbie Lawler back in January, but it was a bout that fans won’t soon forget. Demian Maia (24-6) was on a five fight winning streak ahead of his tilt with “The Natural Born Killer.”

When the night was over, Maia extended his winning streak to six.

Condit was cautious of the takedowns of Maia early. It didn’t take long for the Brazilian to get his opponent to the ground. Condit gave up his back and Maia searched for a choke. He forced the tap shortly after.
