Demetrious Johnson vs. John Dodson Highlights

Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson picked up his seventh straight title defense with a dominant performance against rival John Dodson in the main event of last night’s (Sat., September 5, 2015) UFC 191 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, using a well-rounded and precise mix of striking and grappling to shut ‘The Magician’ down.

The win put to bed any shadow of a doubt dating back to ‘Mighty Mouse’s’ first match-up with Dodson, where he was dropped three times. Johnson would experience no such adversity at UFC 191, however, instead repeatedly nailing Dodson with pinpoint straight rights to bruise his face.

And although Dodson maintained excellent takedown defense in the early rounds, his gas tank seemed to fail him in the later rounds as it did in their first bout, and he was soon made the victim of several big slams.

‘Mighty Mouse’ also proved that he is more than head-and-shoulders above his peers at 125 pounds, and he also furthered his case for being the top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Watch the highlights of his latest victory from UFC on FOX above.
