Demetrious Johnson Stops Henry Cejudo In First Round

The biggest night in the mixed martial arts career of Henry Cejudo (10-1) was realized at UFC 197 when he took on Demetrious Johnson (24-2-1) for his flyweight title.

Unfortunately for “The Messenger,” his dream was not realized on this night.

Johnson landed some leg kicks early and Cejudo got in one of his own. They clinched and the challenger landed a knee to the body. “Mighty Mouse” landed a right hand on the break. “The Messenger” blocked a head kick. Cejudo took down the champion, but Johnson pushed him off with ease. The champion stunned Cejudo with a knee to the head. A knee to the body and a short elbow landed for Johnson. Cejudo wobbled back and the champion finished him.
