Highly touted UFC lightweight strikers Anthony Njokuani and Daron Cruickshank hae been added to the UFC Fight Night 54 card in Halifax, Nova Scotia. “The Assassin” is 3-4 for the UFC, but has been involved in some highly entertaining bouts, and scored a savage knockout over Roger Bowling in April last year. “”The Detroit Superstar” had his hype train derailed against Jorge Masvidal at UFC on FOX 12, as “Gamebred” ended Cruickshanks two fight KO spree.

The pairing pits two masters of the standing strike in a potential Fight of the Night bonus winner. We’ll keep an eye on that one, elsewhere though in Halifax, there are some great fights. Rory MacDonald headlines the card as he battles ex-Strikeforce champion Tarec Saffiedine at welterweight, Raphael Assuncao will go up against Bryan Caraway at bantamweight, and there is plenty more home-bred talent for the fans in Nova Scotia to cheer on.
