Daniel Cormier Gets Good Luck Message From Jon Jones

Even though UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier was knocked out by disgraced archrival Jon Jones in his last fight at 2017’s UFC 214, he became the champion yet again when ‘Bones’ tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs the second time in the USADA era.

So a new era begins for DC tonight when he defends his title for the first time of his new reign, which many still feel isn’t legitimate due to the fact he’s lost to Jones twice, against surging knockout artist Volkan Oezdemir in the co-main event of UFC 220 from Boston, Massachusetts.

The lead-up to the match-up has been relatively uneventful, with Cormier making weight despite a bit of drama and scarce smack talk between the two top light heavies. But that changed a little earlier today.
