Daniel Cormier: Cain Velasquez Wins ’10 Out Of 10’ Against Jon Jones

Cain and Jones

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, current interim light heavyweight champion, and reining pound-for-pound king Jon “Bones” Jones is widely considered to be the greatest mixed martial artist of all-time, or at least his name is constantly thrown into that discussion. In fact, “Bones” may very well be close to cleaning out the 205-pound division.

The ex-champion is planning to recapture the title he never technically lost when he meets Daniel Cormier at July 9’s UFC 200, and after that he hopes to rematch Alexander Gustafsson and face off with feared striker Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.

If Jones can come out of those three fights victorious, a move to heavyweight has long been a possibility, although he recently pulled back a bit on that idea. “DC” recently touched on this possibility, saying that Jones would do ‘fine’ at heavyweight, although the former Olympian added that “Bones” would have serious trouble against one man.

Taking to his official Twitter account, Cormier said that his teammate and former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez would beat Jones ’10 out of 10’ times, and that he would hold a boxing advantage over the pound-for-pound king:

Velasquez is set to return at UFC 200 as well to take on Travis Browne after losing his title in June 2015. Cormier even went as far to say that Velasquez would get the best of him if the two were to ever fight for real:

How would you see a potential clash between Jones and Velasquez playing out?
