Dana White Names His Two UFC Dream Fights
UFC President Dana White has two big dream fights he’d like to put on – and both of them include Conor McGregor.
The UFC boss spoke to 8 News Now recently and was asked about promotion star Conor McGregor. White admitted he doesn’t believe the Irishman’s recent retirement claim is definite. He then went on to reveal his two big dream fights he’d like to put on in the UFC.
The first was a mixed martial arts (MMA) bout between McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. A rematch between McGregor and current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was his second:
McGregor and Mayweather first crossed paths back in 2017. “The Notorious” fought Mayweather, then 49-0, in his professional boxing debut. He was able to hang with “Money” until the 10th round before being finished.
Much talk of a rematch, in either boxing or MMA has circulated, however, nothing has ever come close to being done. As for McGregor and Khabib, “The Eagle” was the last man to defeat “Mystic Mac” inside the Octagon. He submitted McGregor in the fourth round of their UFC 229 battle.
However, due to their post-fight brawl with each other’s teams, both men have been suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC). McGregor is eligible to return this month, while Khabib will have to sit out until summer for sparking the ordeal.
