Hakeem Dawodu
We’re starting off our list of the current best Canadian UFC fighters with featherweight KO artist Hakeem Dawodu. The Calgary native was an accomplished professional kickboxer, who is now making a name for himself in MMA.
Hakeem currently holds a pro MMA record of 13-4 with seven KOs and 10 fights within the UFC. On his current UFC run, Dawodu went on a career best 5-fight win streak, which included a spectacular head kick KO.
After his recent decision loss to UFC vet Cub Swanson, Hakeem is looking to get back in the win column.
Charles Jourdain
Charles Jourdain is another one of the current best Canadian UFC fighters currently competing in the featherweight division. The Quebec native has been competing in the organization since 2019 and has had some good showings.
Jourdain’s last two wins were his best performances as he decisively beat BJJ champ Kron Gracie and submitted Ricardo Ramos. His guillotine win over Ramos earned Charles POTN honors on the UFC FN card in 2024.
After a close split-decision loss to Sean Woodson, Charles is looking to bounce back and stay active.
Gillian Robertson
Gillian Robertson is not only one of the current best Canadian UFC fighters, but she’s become an all-time great. The UFC veteran from Ontario holds numerous UFC records and is still adding on to them.
Robertson currently holds the record for both most finishes in the UFC women’s flyweight and overall with seven finishes. She also has the most submission wins within the UFC women’s division with seven submissions.
“The Savage” just recently added another win to her record by stopping Polyana Viana in the 2nd round. Gillian is one of the most active fighters on the roster and will look to continue adding to her impressive resume.
Marc-Andre Barriault
Marc-Andre Barriault is one of the current best Canadian UFC fights and one of the most active middleweights on the roster. He’s been competing in the UFC since 2019 and has put together some good performances during his run.
Barriault’s best performances were his last two wins as he stopped Julian Marquez and beat Eryk Anders. His win over Anders at UFC 289 earned Marc-Andre FOTN honors and a nice bonus.
Many fans thought Barriault won his last fight against Chris Curtis and are looking forward to his next match.
Brad Katona
Brad Katona is the athlete that we must mention on our list of the current best Canadian UFC fighters. The Manitoba native is the only fighter in history to win not one, but two TUF tournaments.
Katona had a run of bad luck during his first UFC run, which only lasted a few fights. However, Brad evolved as a fighter and got back in by winning his second TUF tournament and making history.
Now on his second UFC run with the UFC, Katona has become a better fighter and putting on better performances. He won his most recent fight against Jesse Butler and is looking to move up the bantamweight ranks.
