Cub Swanson Outpoints Kron Gracie After War – UFC Tampa Results

In our UFC Tampa co-main event, Cub Swanson takes on Kron Gracie at 145 pounds.

Round 1:

A nice hook lands for Swanson as he circles out. Swanson lands a leg kick. Gracie continues to walk Swanson down, trying to close the distance and clinch up, but Swanson is keeping him at bay. A hard body kick lands for Swanson. Swanson rips off another nice body shot. An uppercut lands for Swanson and he follows it up with another hard body shot. Swanson clearly with the sizeable advantage standing up. A hard body kick from Swanson lands to close the round.

Round 2:

Swanson with another stiff leg kick and he lands a nice couple of shots to the chin. The right hand continues to land for Swanson. More body attacks from Swanson. Kron tries to clinch and pull guard but Swanson simply walks away. Another guard pull from Gracie but Swanson wiggles out. Gracie starting to put some shots together now. Swanson lands two very nice uppercuts. Swanson is slowing down significantly, and Gracie is catching him with some shots now. Bit shots from Swanson connecting now. The round comes to an end.

Round 3:

Gracie lands some big shots to start the round, but Swanson responds with some of his own. Swanson continues to circle around, Gracie locks up in the clinch, but Swanson throws him off. Front kick to the body from Swanson. A big uppercut lands for Swanson. Gracie pulls guard and lands an upkick as Swanson walks away. A throw from Gracie but Swanson is able to shift out beautifully.

A hard jab lands for Swanson. More guard pulls from Gracie but it fails again. This has turned into a dog fight inside the pocket, but Swanson is getting the better of the exchanges. Gracie with the single leg, but he maneuvers into full guard. Swanson is able to get to his feet and escape. A hard uppercut to the body lands for Swanson, and that’s it. Amazing fight.
