Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp appeared on Friday’s episode of Inside MMA and revealed Invicta FC Featherweight Champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino will defend her belt at 145 pounds in January, instead of fighting at the 140-pound mark Justino was previously working toward.

Knapp announced back in November that Justino would fight at 140lb, but that is no longer the case.

“Cyborg’s next fight will be at 145 pounds. This will be the first time that she has competed without hydrating herself with an I.V. So she’s made the decision to go ahead and defend her belt.”

“Especially today with the announcement that Holly and Ronda will have a rematch — that will be the next fight for both — I think it does take kind of it off the table for her, kind of shelves it a bit,” Knapp said. “But I still think there’s a desire there at some point. And it’s still a fight I’d like to see, whether it’s Ronda or Holly or whoever it is.”

Justino will be fighting Cindy Dandois in the co-main event of Invicta FC 15. The main event of this event will be a strawweight title bout between champion Livia Renata Souza and challenger DeAnna Bennett.

Other fights confirmed for the event include a strawweight bout between former UFC competitor Angela Hill and Jodie Esquibel, atomweight bout pitting Lisa Ellis against Amber Brown, and a bantamweight bout featuring Raquel Pa’aluhi and Irene Aldana.
