Conor McGregor, Miami Heat sued amid alleged rape attempt in bathroom during NBA game
UFC star, Conor McGregor has been named in a lawsuit along with the Miami Heat stemming from an alleged rape attempt during an NBA match at the Kayesa Center in the state, in which an anonymous woman is accusing the 36-year-old of assault in a VIP bathroom.
McGregor, a former undisputed lightweight and featherweight champion under the umbrella of the UFC, was found civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand during an alleged rape at the Beacon Hotel in December, 2018 in his native Dublin.
Ordered to pay close to €250,000 to the plaintiff as a result by a jury of twelve, Conor McGregor is also expected to fork out nearly €1,000,000 in legal fees following the conclusion of the civil case in the High Court.
And overnight, an anonymous woman filed an official lawsuit accusing Conor McGregor of attempting to orally and anally rape her in a VIP bathroom stall during Game 4 of the NBA finals on June 9, 2023.
The lawsuit in question claims McGregor’s security team separated her from her friend before the Crumlin native is alleged to have led the plaintiff into a bathroom at the Kaseya Center, while security personnel allegedly prevented her friend from entering the stall in search of her.
Furthermore, the lawsuit alleges an ‘intoxicated’ McGregor “attempted to forcefully place his unprotected penis” into the woman’s mouth, “without her consent”, before she was then forced “against the wall face first.”
Conor McGregor’s attorney alleges plaintiff is spreading a “false story”
The lawsuit also alleges McGregor attempted to anally rape the plaintiff in question before spitting on her after attempting to put her “in an arm lock”.
Providing an official statement to the DailyMail, attorney for McGregor, Barbara Llanes of Gelber, Schacheer & Greenberg alleged the plaintiff has a “false story”.
“After a thorough investigation at the time, the State’s Attorney concluded that there was no case to pursue,” The statement read. “Almost two years and at least three lawyers later the plaintiff has a new false story. We are confident that this case too will be dismissed.”
