Conor McGregor: I Am Prepared To Kill Chad Mendes
UFC 189 is set to go down tonight (Saturday July 11th, 2015) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The hype has been insane, from the intense weigh-ins staredowns, to the backstage scuffles, the main event between Conor McGregor and Chad Mendes really has it all. ‘The Notorious’ will do battle with ‘Money’ with the interim featherweight championship up for grabs, on what will likely be the biggest UFC PPV (pay-per-view) of all time. A lot of the talk surrounding tonight’s headliner is whether the Irish star can step up to that next level, and also beat a high pedigree wrestler in the octagon.
As always, the brash McGregor is not short on trash talk, previously predicting he would knock Mendes out in round two, and labelling him an ‘overblown midget’ on multiple occasions. The Irish boxer has been busy on Twitter overnight, check out his best quotes:

We’ve heard many fighters claim they would kill or murder their opponents on fight night, and believe it or not it used to be quite a controversial statement to make. Selling fights has now opened the door to athletes to pretty much say anything they like, but will ‘The Notorious’ be able to back up his trash talk train, or is Mendes going to snub his arrival with his wrestling and power punching?
