Conor McGregor: Donald Cerrone Is A Spar, Anticipates ‘Beautiful’ Victory

McGregor Cerrone

Conor McGregor is anticipating a “beautiful win” when he faces Donald Cerrone.

McGregor faces “Cowboy” at the UFC 246 headliner in a welterweight contest this Saturday. However, there is already talk of his future opponents.

There’s a possible rematch with lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, a fight with the red-hot Jorge Masvidal and also a lightweight contest with Justin Gaethje who has been calling out the Irishman for a while.

McGregor is certainly open to facing “The Highlight” and even feels it could happen later this year as he plans on being more active.

“Possibly this year,” McGregor told Ariel Helwani of fighting Gaethje. “I’m going to be active. This [fight vs. Cerrone] is a spar to me. I’m going to go in here and do as I please in here. Put on a show for the fans and get a beautiful win.”

Although McGregor does not know who will come next after Cerrone, he knows one thing and that’s that he plans on being active no matter which division he competes in.

“Going through the divisions, look at me — three weight divisions,” he added. “No one’s doing this. I’m very, very excited and very happy. Long may the opponents continue to come and I’ll continue to knock them down.”
