Conor McGregor

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor took the chance to mock his old rival, Dustin Poirier for his loss against Charles Oliveira at UFC 269.

McGregor is currently planning a return to the UFC in 2022, as he continues to recover from the devastating leg injury he suffered against Poirier at UFC 264. He’s remained active on social media, blasting his rivals including Poirier in recent weeks and months.

McGregor was paying close attention to the UFC lightweight title fight as he gets ready for his return. He’s already stated that he expects an immediate title shot when he comes back to the octagon.

Conor McGregor Wants Another Shot At Dustin Poirier

McGregor and Poirier could be on a collision course once again after Poirier’s loss. A fourth fight between the two seems to be in the cards after their controversial finish at UFC 264.

The McGregor vs. Poirier trilogy was stopped abruptly when McGregor shattered his leg near the end of the first round. Before that, he suffered some hard ground-and-pound damage but also had some positive moments on the feet.

McGregor has been recently called out by lightweight contender Michael Chandler for a fight in his return, and there seems to be mutual interest from both sides. But, Poirier has also said recently that his beef with McGregor will never end and that he expects another battle between the two.

For Poirier, it’s unclear what could be next for him in the UFC. He has recently hinted at a possible move to 170 pounds in the future and that could be next for him. But, the fourth fight with McGregor could also be enticing given the amount of money he would make from it.
