Compustrike Strikeforce Fedor vs. Henderson Preview: Virtually Identical
An epic battle, two legends will collide in a fight for PRIDE (pun intended) and legacy. This Saturday, “The Last Emperor” Fedor Emelianenko will be taking on “Dangerous” Dan Henderson inside the Strikeforce six-sided cage in Chicago, Illinois. Both men are extremely accomplished grapplers in their respective styles and are equally dangerous on the feet with extremely powerful hands.
According to Compustrike we should expect a barrage of power strikes, with both Fedor and Hendo landing almost equal amounts of big shots. Both men seem to be able to have an edge on the ground equally in their fights, but a big difference maker could be the submission game with the more busier and successful of the two being Emelianenko.
Key notes from both fighters:
Henderson threw and landed more arm strikes per fight, Fedor was the more efficient striker
Of their 100 combined landed strikes per fight, only 12 were leg strikes
Henderson’s opponents were successful on just 10 of 24 takedown attempts (42%)
