Colby Covington Headed To UFC 235 In Las Vegas

It looks like former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington is headed to Las Vegas for UFC 235 after all.

Covington, who was unceremoniously stripped of the welterweight strap after winning it almost nine months ago, revealed as much earlier today on Instagram.

The reigning 170-pound champion Tyron Woodley will defend his title against Kamaru Usman in UFC 235’s co-main event while Ben Askren will make his promotional debut against Robbie Lawler elsewhere on the main card.

Covington has been embroiled in a very public war with the UFC and Dana White. He hasn’t competed since winning the interim welterweight title back at UFC 225 in Chicago. If he does show up in Vegas, things could get interesting.
