Colby Covington Believes “Broken” Tyron Woodley’s UFC Career Is Over

Colby Covington believes that Tyron Woodley’s UFC career is over after his defeat to Kamaru Usman.

“”Chaos” recently spoke to Bloody Elbow and explained why he thinks “The Chosen One” is done competing inside the Octagon:

“He’s been one foot in for the last couple years, he’s got so much on his plate. He’s out here trying to rap albums, he’s trying to do acting, he’s trying to do broadcasting — he sucks at all of them. His career is over.

“He’s made all his money, he’s cashed out, he’s not a real fighter anymore. He doesn’t want to be here to make his division great again like myself. That was already a broken man (in the cage against Usman).”

Woodley was defeated by Usman in the co-main event of UFC 235 this past weekend (Sat. March 2, 2019). “The Nigerian Nightmare” dominated Woodley for all five rounds, mostly by out-grappling Woodley throughout the 25 minutes. After the judges’ scorecards were read, Usman was awarded the UFC welterweight throne.

Now, Covington is expected to be the first man to challenge Usman for his title. He caused quite the uproar during fight week after previously being denied a title shot. Now, he’ll get his wish against a man coming off one of the most impressive championship performances the UFC has ever seen.
