Clay Guida Returns To Action At UFC Fight Night 77
The general manager of the UFC in Brazil, Giovani Decker announced on Thursday that longtime UFC veterans Clay Guida and Thiago Tavares will fight at the UFC Fight Night 77 event.
Guida (32-15) is looking to get off his career roller coaster ride of winning a fight then losing one fight. In his last five bouts, he is 3-2. He is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Robbie Peralta at UFC Fight Night 63.
Tavares (19-6-1) is also 3-2 in his last five bouts but is 2-1 in his last three bouts. He ripped off two straight first-round rear-naked choke victories over Justin Salas and Robbie Peralta, but in his last bout he lost to Brian Ortega at UFC Fight Night 68 by first-round knockout.
The event takes place on November 7, 2015, at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil. There’s no word on the broadcasting plans for this event, but it’s expected to air on FOX Sports 1. The event will be headlined by Vitor Belfort vs. Dan Henderson.
