Charles Oliveira set to attend UFC 311, open to face off with title fight winner: ‘I’ll definitely do it’
Former undisputed lightweight champion, Charles Oliveira has confirmed he will be in attendance at the Intuit Dome for UFC 311 this weekend — and insists if offered the opportunity, he will confront the winner of Islam Makhachev’s title clash with Arman Tsarukyan in a bid to land himself a rematch with the main event victor.
Oliveira, the current number two ranked lightweight contender, returned to the Octagon at UFC 309 back in November, landing himself back in the winning column to boot.
Co-headlining the Madison Square Garden card, Brazilian fan-favorite finisher, Oliveira turned in a second career win over the returning veteran, Michael Chandler — landing a one-sided unanimous decision win over the former title challenger over the course of five rounds.

Staking his claim for a title rematch against either former foes, Makahchev or Tsarukyan following the culmination of their own re-run at UFC 311 this weekend in Inglewood, Charles Oliveira has claimed that while he doesn’t want to steal the winner’s spotlight — he would face-off with the victor if granted the chance to.
“I’ll sit in the front row and go there for the battle of stares,” Charles Oliveira said, via RedFuryMMA. “I don’t want to pull the blanket on and take away the glitter from the winner, but if I have the opportunity to go into the octagon and say I’m next, I’ll definitely do it.”
Facing off with Tsarukyan at UFC 300 last April, Brazilian finisher, Oliveira suffered a controversial split decision loss to the Armenian surging contender in a much-debated title eliminator defeat.
And meeting with the aforenoted, Makhachev at UFC 280, Oliveira’s bid to snatch the vacant lightweight crown was halted by the Russian pound-for-pound number one who finished him with a second round arm-triangle submission in Abu Dhabi.
