Chael Sonnen Says Anthony Pettis Would Smash GSP

The general opinion amongst most Johny Hendricks fans is that GSP was a beaten man at UFC 167; beaten to the punch and bested in the wrestling. There are some that also believe that the champ fought smart and ‘Bendo’d’ Hendricks.

UFC President Dana White called the decision a ‘f*****g s****y travesty’, or something, and said that he is now afraid to put on another UFC event in Nevada. UFC analyst and fighter Chael Sonnen took to his Twitter account to big up his boy Anthony Pettis and trash GSP at the same time.

Given St-Pierre’s rusty performance at 167, Sonnen might not be far off the mark here, of course we are still talking about the greatest Welterweight of all time. We are yet to see ‘Showtime’s’ full potential in my opinion, but he has a long way to go before being considered one of the G.O.A.T.

Pettis shocked the world with his dominance of Benson Henderson at UFC 164, but I feel that GSP is a cut above Bendo. No man is invincible, as Anderson Silva proved, I have no misconceptions about that; but GSP has reigned for a long time because he is that good.

Obviously this is a hypothetical speculation, but if GSP chooses to return to MMA then Pettis could well be a future opponent. Who you got in that fight?
