UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and number one contender Chad Mendes have been involved in quite the war of words recently, with ‘Scarface’ becoming a lot more involved than usual. After causing the postponement of UFC 176 due to a neck injury, Aldo was the subject of harsh criticism from ‘Money’.

Seemingly ticked off, the champion blasted his upcoming opponent, and made accusations of steroid use against the Alpha Male product. Never one to let someone have the last word, Mendes took to Twitter and fired a shot back:

Aside from the fact that Jose Aldo is the last and only man to ever beat Mendes, the two are embroiled in an intriguing battle of fight camps; Mendes, a member of Alpha Male, has team mate TJ Dillashaw to thank for that. ‘Viper’ snatched the bantamweight title from Renan Barao in dramatic fashion, and ‘Scarface’ is a long time member of Barao’s camp at Nova Uniao.

The inevitable rematch between the two men is drawing a lot more interest than the first meeting, as Aldo promises to repeat his first round knockout over ‘Money’. UFC 142 was the scene of the infamous starching of Mendes, and both sides have enough fuel to make this a very sell-able beef.
