Brunno Ferreira submits Armen Petrosyan with armbar after point deduction – UFC 313 Highlights

Brazilian middleweight up and comer, Brunno Ferreira continues his roll through the division tonight on the preliminary card of UFC 313, battling through a pair of groin strikes to land a second round armbar win over Armenian striker, Armen Petrosyan.
Ferreira, an alum of Dana White’s Contender Series, managed to return to winning-ways tonight following a prior submission loss of his own against former headliner, Abus Magomedov back in October at UFC 307.

And adding Petrosyan to an impressive Octagon resume which contains wins over Gregory Rodrigues, Dustin Stoltzfus and now the above-mentioned — Ferreira can now look at working his way to a spot in the top-15 rankings in his next few fights.
However, tonight’s win did not come without some adversity for the Brazilian, who battled back from a pair of opening round inadverent groin strikes. And going punished for his actions, Petrosyan was deducted a point from official, Mark Smith in a welcome turn of refereeing.

And eventually seizing the opportunity midway through the second frame, Ferreira pounced on an armbar from full guard from the bottom, forcing a submission tap from Petrosyan.
