Brian Stann responds to Shlemenko’s accusations that UFC fighters are faking injuries
Brian Stann recently took to Twitter to repspond to the allegations made by Bellator Middleweight Alexander Shlemenko that UFC fighters are faking injuries when they do not like the fights they’ve been given. Stann appeared to be annoyed by the comment, centering around his originally scheduled fight against Hector Lombard:
Shouldnt even dignify todays comment w/ a response, but I would never fake an injury. I agreed to fight Hector b4 he was even signed

Now today, Schlemenko himself responded to Stann, saying that he had used Stann as a sort of example where he knew how long it would take his injury to heal:
I knew how long it takes to recover shoulder injury, that’s why I used@brianstann as an example. If he recovers so fast – respect to him!

However, Stann appeared to have taken offense to this, responding:
@stormshlemenko no you dont know how long because anyone can google a grade 2 seperation and see it is 6-8 weeks, worry about yourself

Brian Stann has always been an upstanding fighter, inside and out of the cage. Is there any weight to Shlemenko’s comments? Or is it just an attempt by a non-UFC fighter to drum up controversy and attention? Stann will face Michael Bisping at UFC 152, we will find out just how healed up he is then.
