Bo Nickal predicts dominant win over Khamzat Chimaev in future fight: 'You're going to get tired'

Long-linked with a future matchup against Khamzat Chimaev, unbeaten prospect, Bo Nickal remains supremely confident of beating the Chechen if they face off in the UFC soon — claiming his own wrestling background would likely prove too much for the former to deal with.

Nickal, who has yet to crack the middleweight top-15, has been sidelined since he turned in the most high-profile win of his naive professional career to date, riding out a unanimous decision win over former ranked challenger, Paul Craig at UFC 309 two months ago.

And as for the unbeaten, Chimaev, the current number three rated middleweight challenger has been tipped to feature in a championship charge in a return to North America next by UFC CEO, Dana White — following his most recent victory.

Co-headlining UFC 308 back in October, Chimaev landed a spectacular first round win over former undisputed titleholder, Robert Whittaker, finishing the Auckland-born favorite with a stunning face crank in the pair’s rescheduled title-eliminator.

However, continually drawing links to a future championship grudge fight against the unbeaten, Chimaev, dominant amateur wrestling icon, Nickal has shared his thoughts once more on how a pairing would play out — suggesting he holds one key advantage against Chimaev.

”I don’t think there’s really a guy in the world at 86 kilos that can beat me in wrestling,” Bo Nickal said on his YouTube channel during a recent video. “I think that he’s [Khamzat Chimaev] good, he’s got skills, but his biggest thing that’s going to crush him, especially in a fight against me is — dude, you’re going to get tired. You’re going to go like this (down), and I’m going to go like this (up) as the fight goes on.

“And you’re not going to take me down, which is your best attribute,” Bo Nickal explained. “So you’re going to have to strike with me. I’m probably going to be able to take you down. Maybe I don’t hold you down on the ground forever, but I can hold you down there for a little bit, and the longer the fight goes, the worse it’s going to get.”
