Dricus Du Plessis

We also couldn’t make a list of the best MMA fighters from Africa and not mention current champ Dricus Du Plessis Du Plessishas exploded onto the UFC and has beaten everyone put in front of him.

He got a lot of people talking when he easily stopped former champion Robert Whitaker. It was no surprise to anyone when he was able to score a decision over Sean Stricklan to win the title.

Now that he’s the champion, Du Plessis will look to make a legacy for himself as a great champion.
