First up on our list of the best Canadian female MMA fighters ever is the pioneer Sarah Kaufman. During her MMA career, Kaufman was able to make a lot of history.

She was the first Canadian female MMA fighter to ever win a world MMA title. Kaufman won the inaugural Strikeforce Women’s bantamweight title, along with the Invicta bantamweight title.

The British Columbia native fought around the world and faced numerous top fighters in her 10+ year career. Sarah finished her career with an impressive 22-5 record with 1 no contest.

Alexis Davis

Former fighter Alexis Davis comes in next on our list of the best Canadian MMA fighters ever. The Ontario native started her fighting career in 2007, fighting for various Canadian and US MMA promotions. 

Before the UFC added women’s divisions, Alexis fought in Strikeforce, where she notably beat future women’s MMA GOAT Amanda Nunes. Once the UFC added the women’s bantamweight division in 2013, Davis was quickly signed by the company.

Davis would spend the next decade fighting for the company and fight everyone from Liz Caramouche, Kaitlin Chookagian, and Viviane Arjuo. She ended her MMA career with a decision win over Julia Stoliarenko in 2022.

Alexis finished her MMA career with a record of 21-11.

Felicia Spencer

Felicia Spencer is another one of the best Canadian female MMA fighters, who must be mentioned. The Quebec native started her pro MMA career in Invicta, where she went undefeated with a 6-0 record.

Spencer won the Invicta FC Featherweight Championship in her last match before signing with the UFC. She made an impressive debut beating Australian fighter Megan Anderson, who was heavily favored in their match up.

Felicia would fight for the next three years in the promotion in the now defunct women’s featherweight division. During her UFC run, Felicia fought female legends Cyborg Santos and Amanda Nunes for the featherweight title.

Gillian Robertson
