Two title bouts are set to go down from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri on Nov. 6. The event that will hold two championship tilts is going to be Bellator 145: Vengeance.

MMAFighting.com reports that Patricio Freire (24-2) will meet Daniel Straus (23-6, 1 NC) for a third time with “Pitbull’s” featherweight title being up for grabs in the main event. The co-main event will feature current Bellator lightweight champion Will Brooks (16-1) defending his 155-pound strap against Marcin Held (21-3).

Freire has defeated Straus twice under the Bellator banner. The first bout was part of the season four 145-pound tournament final. The Brazilian earned a unanimous decision. Straus was submitted in their second encounter, which was for Freire’s title.

“Pitbull’s” two defeats came at the hands of Joe Warren and Pat Curran, both by split decision. Freire avenged his loss to Curran with a unanimous decision win back at Bellator 123 to win his featherweight championship.

Straus returned to form following his second loss to “Pitbull.” The American Top Team fighter earned another shot at the title he once held by submitting Henry Corrales with a guillotine choke.

Brooks and Held will be competing against each other for the first time when they step inside the cage on Nov. 6. “Ill Will” will look to make his second successful title defense in St. Louis. Poland’s Held will attempt to gain possession of the one thing that has eluded him since his 2011 Bellator debut, championship gold.

“Ill Will” retained his title against Dave Jansen back in April. Brooks did so by cutting the one-time challenger with elbows and landing his right hand consistently. His constant pressure also helped as “The Fugitive” was winded by the end of the bout.

Held has been on a six-fight winning streak. He earned a unanimous decision win over Patricky Freire in the season 10 lightweight tournament final. Held then finished Alexander Sarnavskiy via verbal submission thanks to a kneebar.
