Bellator 187 Results: A.J. McKee Chokes Out Brian Moore
It’s once again fight day here at LowKickMMA, and the talent on display tonight (Friday, November 10th, 2017) will come in the form of Bellator 187. Headlining the card are A.J. McKee and Brian Moore, but there’s a whole bunch of great fights also taking place on the rest of the main card.
A.J. McKee and Brian Moore meet in a featherweight bout in the main event. In round 1, McKee dropped him with a right hand early in the first minute of the round. Moore got back to his feet while McKee slipped. McKee continued to press the action while Moore was biding his time and picking his shots while mixing in his kicks. Moore clinched with him up against the fence. McKee locked in the rear-naked choke but Moore got out of it. They go back to striking. Moore stunned him with a good combo then McKee shot in for a takedown but it was stuffed. In round 2, McKee was bleeding from his right temple. More picked up the pace and started pressing the action. McKee’s output slowed down and he was getting tired. More clinched up against the fence. In round 3, McKee dropped More after catching him with a wild combo. McKee got his back and locked in the rear-naked choke for the win.
Sinead Kavanagh and Maria Casanova meet in a women’s featherweight bout in the co-main event. In round 1, Kavanagh took her down right away and got mount. Kavanagh fired down with several big strikes to end the fight.
Kevin “Baby Slice” Ferguson Jr. vs. Fred Freeman is next in a catchweight bout. In round 1, Baby Slice took him down right out of the gate and got his back and locked in the rear naked choke for the win.
Opening the main card on Spike TV is Charlie Ward vs. John Redmond in a featherweight bout. In round 1, Redmond was able to take him down in the early part of the round but couldn’t keep him down. Ward clinches with him among the fence. Redmond caught him with a knee strike that busted open Ward but Ward dropped him with a huge right that finished the fight. Post-fight, Conor McGregor jumped the cage and celebrated with Ward, who is his teammate. McGregor then got in the face of the referee.
