Bantamweight & Featherweight Bouts Added To UFC On FOX 18
UFC officials announced two new bouts as well as replacement bout for the upcoming UFC on FOX 18 card.
First up is the two new bouts. A bantamweight fight between Iuri Alcantara (32-6 MMA, 7-3 UFC) and Jimmie Rivera (18-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC); and a featherweight fight between Damon Jackson (9-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and Levan Makashvili (7-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has been added to the card.
As far as the replacement bout goes, Olivier Aubin-Mercier (7-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) has a new opponent as Joaquim Silva (8-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) had to withdraw from their lightweight bout. Now, Aubin-Mercier will face Diego Ferreira (11-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) at the event.
UFC on FOX 18 takes place on January 30th, 2016 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. This event will air on UFC Fight Pass and FOX. Anthony Johnson vs. Ryan Bader will be the headliner of this event, and the winner of this fight will most likely be the number one contender for the UFC light heavyweight title.
