Earning himself a title rematch with pound-for-pound number one, Makhachev back in April of last year on the main card of UFC 300 in an officially-billed championship eliminator against former champion and common-foe, Charles Oliveira, landing a close, debated split decision win over the Brazilian.

Earlier this evening, defending champion, Makhachev successfully made weight for his title rematch with the number one ranked, Tsarukyan — who has still yet to weigh in, with reports suggesting the American Top Team staple has suffered a back injury ahead of the matchup.

As for the surging Moicano, the Brazilian star is currently still scheduled to take on Kings MMA staple, Beneil Dariush in his return at UFC 311, having most recently racked up an impressive doctor’s stoppage TKO win over French contender, Benoit Saint Denis at UFC Paris last September.
